Mixed Signals

A gesture can be interpreted in a number of ways. How it is read depends on the viewer's mood, perspective, culture, and many other variables. Mixed Signals is a collection of hand gestures that explore this variety.

New Slavery

I explore our consumerist lifestyle where buying stuff frames our self-image. It dictates our happiness. And in the end, it controls us. We labor under an endless cycle of work/buy/work/buy and suffer under the stifling power of debt. Original installation of this project occured in November 2008 at Flying M Coffeehouse, Boise, Idaho. I have also created a website as a digital installation and home to further explore the questions of The New Slavery.

Self Portrait

I asked a group of people whom had had a positive, creative influence upon my work to send me a self-digital-portrait. I then manipulated those files into these images. This collection was displayed in the Fulton Street Theater lobby in October of 2002, during the run of Boise Contemporary Theater's production of "Lobby Hero."
